As a family run business, we have built our reputation through traditional skills, attention to detail and a passion for creating jewellery that can be treasured for generations.
From our wide collection of rings, earrings, bracelets and bangles and chains to our bespoke jewellery services, we offer something for a range of styles and occasions. Our experience also extends to sourcing and working with antique jewellery and fine antique jewellery, combining specialist knowledge with skilled craftsmanship. We explore Anthony Paul Jewellery’s history, from the beginnings of our family run jewellers to the work carried out today at our Windsor workshop, and what continues to make us who we are.
How Anthony Paul Jewellery Began
Anthony Paul Jewellery began in the 1980s, when Anthony’s passion for jewellery first developed into a career. Since then, our family run business has grown while staying true to the craftsmanship and values on which it was founded. With our boutiques across the Thames Valley, we have been proudly creating, repairing and designing jewellery for more than 40 years.
This experience has helped shape who we are today, from the skills and knowledge we have developed to the relationships we have built with our customers. Many of our customers return to us for future pieces, repairs and bespoke jewellery, reflecting the trust built over the years. We share more about our journey and how Anthony Paul Jewellery’s history has shaped the family run jewellers we are today.
1970s
Anthony’s love for jewellery began at a young age, encouraged by his mother’s successful antiques business. In 1978, he started his first job at a jewellers in Ascot as an apprentice goldsmith, where he learned the fundamentals of jewellery making and gained an understanding of the trade.
After several years developing his skills and knowledge, Anthony decided to establish himself under his own name. Alongside his craftsmanship, he developed a keen eye for buying second-hand jewellery, laying the foundations for what would become Anthony Paul Jewellery and the family run jewellers it is today.
1980s
In 1982, armed with his goldsmithing skills and growing passion for vintage and antique jewellery, Anthony opened his own shop in Farnham Common. As the business grew and customers travelled further to visit, Anthony enlisted the help of his partner, Corina. Together, they opened the flagship Windsor boutique in 1986.
Two years later, in 1988, Anthony Paul Jewellery expanded to Henley-on-Thames. With strong demand for antique jewellery and vintage pieces, the Henley boutique showcased some of the finest jewellery, many of which continue to be treasured and worn by long-standing customers today.
1990s
As Anthony Paul Jewellery continued to grow, customers travelled from further afield for its jewellery and services. This led to the opening of the Marlow outlet under the name Jacksons, the family name of the company’s founder. During the decade, Anthony’s sons, George and Joe, began spending time in the workshop and learning the trade.
From sweeping goldsmiths’ filings to changing watch batteries, they gained valuable experience. In 1998, goldsmith Nick joined the team, beginning with simple repairs before progressing to major commissions and restorations. Nick became a master goldsmith and continues creating and repairing jewellery today.
2000s
By the 2000s, Anthony and Corina had grown the business to four successful shops across neighbouring Thames Valley towns, with refurbishments taking place at the Windsor and Henley boutiques. As the business and its reputation continued to grow, a second generation of customers began visiting.
Parents who had once commissioned wedding bands for themselves were now recommending Anthony Paul Jewellery to their children. George and Joe joined the company full time in 2006 and 2008 respectively. After training them to run the boutiques independently, Anthony stepped away from the day-to-day running, while Corina continued supporting the business.
2010s
The 2010s brought another period of change for Anthony Paul Jewellery. With George and Joe successfully running the business, Anthony was able to focus on passion projects in Wales, including restoring a listed farm and its buildings. He later took on one of his proudest achievements: building a hydroelectric scheme to produce sustainable, renewable energy.
In 2016, Corina joined Anthony in stepping back from the day-to-day running of the business, although both remained involved through bookkeeping and buying exceptional jewellery. Anthony’s daughter, Millie, also joined, supporting accounting, filing and general administration.
Today
Today, Anthony’s sons represent the third generation of the family to work in jewellery, proudly continuing the Anthony Paul Jewellery legacy while helping to modernise the business. George and Joe combine the traditional skills and knowledge passed down through the family with new techniques and a continued focus on sustainability and green practices.
Both remain passionate about goldsmithing and antique jewellery, while also working to reduce the business’s environmental impact. Their aim is to preserve the craftsmanship and values that have shaped the family run jewellers for more than four decades while continuing to build its future.
Four Boutiques Across the Thames Valley
Anthony Paul Jewellery has four boutiques across the Thames Valley, giving customers the opportunity to visit us in Windsor, Maidenhead, Henley and Marlow. Each boutique offers a welcoming setting where customers can explore our jewellery collections and speak with our experienced team. Our flagship Windsor store also houses our in-house workshop, where skilled goldsmiths create and work on jewellery.
Across all four locations, our family run jewellers continue to provide the personal service and craftsmanship that have shaped Anthony Paul Jewellery’s history for more than four decades.
What Makes a Family Jeweller Different
Choosing a family jeweller can offer a more personal experience than visiting a large jewellery retailer. With years of knowledge passed between generations, family run jewellers can build strong relationships with customers and develop a detailed understanding of their craft. At Anthony Paul Jewellery, our family heritage influences how we approach everything from sourcing and designing jewellery to repairs and customer service, helping us maintain the values that have shaped our business.

A Personal Service
Family run jewellers often place a strong emphasis on building lasting relationships with their customers.
