Restringing – Plain or Knotted
It’s important to check the condition of your row of pearls or beads, as the silk can wear, stretch or break over time. We work closely with a re stringing expert to ensure pearl stringing is carried out to the highest standard, with prices starting from £50 for plain strung or £60 for knotted. Knotting is when the stringer ties a small knot in between each bead or pearl, which stops the whole pearl necklace from becoming unthreaded if a break were to occur. We can also help with semi-precious and precious gem re stringing on silk thread or wire.
Alterations
If you’ve inherited some pearl or bead jewellery and would like to remodel or revamp it, we’re here to help. For previous clients, our expert stringers have done everything from adding or changing clasps to redesigning a multi-strand piece of jewellery into a short, single-row bracelet. Even if you have loose pearls that you would like to turn into a bespoke piece, we can bring your ideas to life.
